About Us:
Founded in 1959, SWLS serves 28 public libraries in five southwest Wisconsin counties: Crawford, Grant, Iowa, Lafayette, and Richland.
The Southwest Wisconsin Library System is headquartered in Fennimore, Wisconsin, in what is known as the Driftless Area. Fennimore is located approximately 70 miles west of Madison.
Member Public Libraries are located in Argyle, Barneveld, Belmont, Benton, Blanchardville, Bloomington, Boscobel, Cassville, Cobb, Cuba City, Darlington, Dickeyville, Dodgeville, Fennimore, Gays Mills, Hazel Green, Lancaster, Livingston, Lone Rock, Mineral Point, Montfort, Muscoda, Platteville, Prairie du Chien, Richland Center, Shullsburg, Soldiers Grove, and Viola. Branches of Lancaster and Shullsburg are located in Potosi and Gratiot.
