About Us:

The Towson Branch is a landmark building in the heart of Towson.  Its expansive, contemporary concrete architecture, designed by Tatar & Kelly Architects, adds to its prominence.  While the current building was constructed in 1974 and expanded in 1990, the Towson Library dates back to 1936.  Serving residents of the county seat and the surrounding area, the Towson Branch offers a full array of materials, programs and services for its diverse customer population as well as an ever changing wealth of electronic resources for children and adults.  Public computers provide Internet access in addition to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Wireless internet access is available throughout the building.  The branch also houses a rich collection of local historical maps and books for history buffs. Garage parking is available in the Baltimore County Revenue Authority parking garage directly behind the library with entrances from Chesapeake Avenue and Towsontown Boulevard.
