This Perkins is loved by it's community and is always busy. For us it was a good place to take some elderly family. We can count on friendly service, good comfort food served the way it's supposed to be, and not a long wait time. The restaurant is cheery and it seemed as if people cared about their jobs, and their customers. Plenty of off-street parking and nice restrooms. No complaints and this is a regular stop whenever we come to town.
Is very clean. Has very friendly, courteous with help. The food comes out to the table to the table at the temperature it is supposed to be. It's a very enjoyable experience.
I love their "great plates" menu. Great food and a great value. Everyone is attentive and friendly.
This is a restaurateur that has fast and friendly service. It is kid friendly. The food is great, the temperature it is as it should be.
I have long thought that Perkins is just a boring blast from the 80s past. I would never think of stopping at a Perkins except when on a work trip I needed to eat late into the evening and could not find a local place of interest, so I stopped at Perkins. I was pleasantly surprised! The menu had interesting items besides just meat and potatoes and there were spices besides salt and pepper. I have since stopped by a second time while in town and was again impressed. I almost never give a chain 5 stars because I really prefer local character and cuisine. Though I will give them the highest rating for a chain. I don't know that all Perkins are this good, so the scope of this review is really just the Watertown SD branch. Oh, and the service was fine.
