Walked in the door,. Nice looking place, I had high hopes for a good meal. I love Mexican food. We had a group of seven, they sat us at a table for six. No big deal, I just grabbed another table and butted it up. They brought out the chips and "salsa". Flavorless watered down tomato sauce would be a more apt description. Ordered our food. When the food came out I had to walk to the front of the restaurant and grab another set of silverware so I would not have to use my hands, since they only gave us six. They serve small portions, which could be overlooked if the food was good. That was not the case here. The food was absolutely flavorless. Mexican food is not supposed to be bland. I don't just mean that it wasn't spicy.. it wasn't at all..but absolutely no flavor whatsoever. The owners focused so much on making the building look nice, Maybe they thought people would overlook the fact that they can't cook. None of us will bother eating there again. My suggestion is that you should do the same. You'll have a better experience at the burger joint with the big yellow m.
First time to La Carreta was Wednesday 7/18/18 with a group of Wednesday dinner bike riders. We had 33 people and the were ready when we got there. The service was unbelievable with a group that size. The wait staff was cooking. We were served in a relatively very short time. I had the beef Chimichanga and was impressed. On my list for great Mexican restaurants
Good food and big portions. Typical Mexican food menu that's faily priced. They serve unlimited chips and salsa included at each table. The restaurant also has a bar.
Very nice restaurant. Extremely friendly staff and clean. The fajita barreto was great.
We had our first date here in 2015 and come back every year for margaritas! They are the best. Seriously. We love their queso for the chips, too. Fajitas aren't bad, either.
