Yakima Valley Regional Library - White Swan Branch

391 1st Street
509-874-2060

History:

The White Swan Library moved from place to place for its first 22 years. Then, in 1969, White Swan Lumber Company donated an old office building for the library. The building was moved onto donated land, where the library stands today. The White Swan Library offers a warm and friendly atmosphere. The children’s room has games and puzzles, along with plenty of books. The Native American book collection and White Swan resident Paul Asher Cottrell’s scrimshaw carvings honor local traditions. Newspapers, videos and DVDs, current magazines, and computers for public use are all popular features.

Joyce Bergstrom is the contact person for the Friends of the White Swan Library. Please contact the library 509-874-2060 for more information.
