About Us :
The West Seventh Branch Library is located within the West Seventh Community Center. It serves a diverse neighborhood of families, seniors, students and teachers along the West End area of Saint Paul. It=s primary use is for recreational readers and browsing. Several neighborhood elementary and special education schools, teachers and students frequently visit the library and use the collection. Materials are gathered on a routine basis from other libraries in the system for these teachers and students to  supplement their informational needs.

The adult collection can be considered to be one of new releases, best sellers and popular titles in paperback Selected central location non-fiction titles are purchased. Collections of books on cassette, books on CD, DVDs and video tapes are also available.

The West Seventh Branch Library presents weekly preschool story times, referral services, children=s Summer Reading Program activities and outreach efforts to neighborhood groups, recreational centers, daycare providers and nearby public and private schools. Special programs are also held in conjunction with events provided by the community center and the neighborhood. The library proves to be a popular and pleasant gathering  place for the community and visitors to the center even though the seating and materials space is limited. Internet and online services have been added to expand the collection. These resources are in constant use during  the afterschool hours until closing. The library=s collection is maintained through the help of an enthusiastic and dedicated group of volunteers.
