Washington Highlands Neighborhood Library

The Washington Highlands Branch of the D.C. Public Library was erected at 115 Atlantic Street, S.W. in 1959 as the third of eleven branch libraries funded under the D.C. Public Works Program.The Friends of the Washington Highlands Neighborhood Library group plays a crucial role in supporting these community activities. Formed in the 1980s, the organization has sponsored various community events, provides financial and volunteer support to the library, and serves as the branch's advocacy group.
