About
The Vance H. Chavis Lifelong Learning Branch Library touts the motto, "The library in the community and the community in the library." The branch is home to Greensboro Public Library's first computer lab. Chavis also houses an extensive African-American collection of both fiction and nonfiction.
Storytimes and Children's Activities
We offer a variety of storytimes for toddlers and preschoolers. For school-aged children we also have a variety of after-school activities. There are also events for teens and families each month.
Computer Access
The Vance Chavis Branch Library has computers with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Internet access and free WiFi. The computers are available on a first-come, first-served basis. A library card is required for computer use.

Mondays - Thursdays from 9 am - 9 pm
Fridays - Saturdays from 9 am - 6 pm
Sundays from 2-6 pm
