About Us

The Law Library supports a wide range of legal study and scholarship, with more than 450,000 volumes in the permanent collection. Included are the National Reporter System, annotated codes from each state, an impressive collection of law reviews, and federal reports, statutes, and administrative materials. The Law School community has access through the library to Lexis, Westlaw and several hundred other online databases. The library subscribes to more than 1,000 periodicals and is a depository for U.S. government documents, as well as briefs and records of Pennsylvania appellate courts. To complement faculty research interests and the LL.M. and Summer Abroad programs, the library staff has developed an extensive collection of international and comparative law materials.

Because the Dickinson School of Law is part of the University Libraries of the Pennsylvania State University, students and faculty have access to the over 4.9 million volumes held by the University Libraries as well as all of the other resources and services provided by the University Libraries. In addition, students and faculty have access through free interlibrary loan service to the collections of other major law libraries and many college libraries in the region.
