Mission Statement:

The Union Carnegie Library is the learning center for our community and is the place people choose to explore ideas, the power of information and the pleasure of reading.  Our collections, programs and services reflect community needs and requests which are offered in a welcoming, convenient and responsive manner.

The Carnegie Library accomplishes its mission by:

    - Providing the community with access to balanced collections in traditional formats and through emerging technologies
    - Serving all ages of our community, infants through mature adults
    - Providing access to diverse ideas through a variety of media
    - Serving and responding to the changing needs of the community
    - Creating  a vibrant space where people want to be
    - Utilizing responsive outreach services to meet the broad needs of the county
    - Addressing the learning needs of a diverse constituency
    - Attracting a personable yet highly professional staff
