From very humble beginnings in 1960, the Turtle Lake Library has grown to a collection size of over 20,000 items and serves not only the Village of Turtle Lake but surrounding townships in both Barron and Polk counties.

MORE is a consortium of libraries in Western Wisconsin sharing resources totaling more than a million items. You can search the online catalog to find materials or find additional information at any of the MORE member libraries.

The Turtle Lake Library offers special services, such as patron-initiated Inter-Library Loan and delivery of library materials to the Retirement Apartments in Turtle Lake. We have special programs such as an area Easter Egg Hunt in both the library and the local Village Park.

The library also makes available electronic books (“e-books”) including the popular Kindle format to those with a library card and provides 24-hour Wi-fi access to all library users (with or without a library card).

Turtle Lake Public Library is not affiliated with AmericanTowns Media
