About Us:
Prior to its new location, the Tallmadge Branch Library opened in a store front in 1961 and moved into a 8700 square foot building located at 32 South Avenue in 1977 in a building owned by the City of Tallmadge that was built for library purposes with funds from the City of Tallmadge income tax at a cost of $332,102.
On October 2, 2000 the current Tallmadge Branch Library opened at 90 Community Rd. next to the Tallmadge Community Center. We are open 6 days a week to meet your needs for education, information and recreation. Current library statistics show that the Tallmadge Branch circulated 245,771 items in 2004, and houses a collection of 63,824 items.
Our friendly, skilled staff includes a branch manager, who is also the adult services librarian, two children's librarians who work on a job-share basis serving young children (babies through grade three), and one full-time children's librarian serving intermediate school age children and teens (grades 4-12). Our staff also includes public service assistants and student assistants.

Saturday: 10 am - 5pm
