About Us:
Shepard-Pruden Memorial Library is Chowan County’s public library with a collection of 30,000 books and periodicals as well as videotapes, audiotapes, and DVDs. Eleven computers are available for public use with six having Internet access. Pre-school story hours are offered regularly at 11:00 every Wednesday morning with additional children’s events taking place throughout the year.
The Friends of the Library support library programs and purchasing books and equipment. Additional services include a Friends of the Library Book Club, a biennial fund raiser, and an annual program featuring a well-known author
