One library card does it all in Allegheny County! The library is a member of the Allegheny County Library Association, a federated consortium made-up of all public libraries in Allegheny County, including the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. Sign-up for a free library card and enjoy a great collection of books, magazines, music, eBooks, DVDs, audio books, puppets, specialized eLearning materials, high-speed Internet access provided by the eiNetwork and a friendly, knowledgeable staff. If you can’t find something at SNHL, the staff will request an item from another public library in Allegheny County.
A nationally designated Family Place Library, SNHL champions literacy and specializes in services to children and their families through innovative, award-winning programs, such as Discovery Kids, Rumble in the Jungle and the Teen All-You-Can-Read Buffet. In addition, the library is well-known in the county for its cultural and educational programs for adults.
