I've been working towards using this library more than going to a coffee shop. It's a nice relaxed place. Staff are generally friendly. And to those making comments about homeless people utilizing the library: it's a public space. That's all there is to it. Having access to information and knowledge is not exclusive to people who are well off. I wouldn't be too quick to dock stars to a space that is accommodating of those in need. I would rather support this library than go to another place that kicks homeless people out just because they are making others "uncomfortable." I would honestly reevaluate your ethics.

Very friendly, helpful, warm, enthusiastic staff! They try to find books matching the interests of every client, make nice decorations for every holiday, create many nice events for children. My son especially loves preschool story time.

Stinky day center for homeless. But staff is friendly and nice. Avoid if you have a delicate gag reflex.

I have only been to this library for one visit, so I don't want to give too few stars. While I was at the library there were several unrelated instances of my train of thought being interrupted by their, in my opinion, overzealous policing of the library. They seem like nice people, as other reviews say, but someone involved, perhaps someone on the board, is far too worried about "the rules" versus accommodating the people who come in to use the library. We the public are patrons, not customers. We shouldn't be made to feel that we are visiting the librarians' library. Lose the loudspeaker.
