Sanibel Public Library

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Sanibel Public Library is to serve as an intellectual center which provides a variety of reading, listening, and viewing materials to enrich the lives of Sanibel residents and visitors.

Goals:
-To provide a strong collection which utilizes material reflecting the interests of patrons, as evidenced by utilization, and which includes, even with a low level of utilization, materials to meet the reference and intellectual requirements of a wide variety of residents.
-To provide information not in the library collection.
-To provide a service-oriented staff who demonstrate competent, cooperative assistance to patrons.
- To be sensitive to the requirements of the community, to be cooperative with the community, and to seek community input regarding library service.
- To provide ready access with convenient hours, in a properly maintained facility for all segments of the community.
- To provide special services to community organizations, including meeting space, exhibits of art, crafts, and other matters of community interest.
