About Us:
San Lorenzo Library, established in 1910, is the Alameda County Library's oldest library. It serves the community of San Lorenzo and neighboring areas, approximately 52,000 people, and circulates over 250,000 items annually. The current library facility was built in 1968. Spearheaded by the Friends of the Library San Lorenzo Area, the community actively promotes the dream of a new or expanded Library building in the future.
The San Lorenzo Library also offers a wide variety of programs for adults, teens and children. Adults, teens, and children can participate in the Summer Reading Games. Librarians conduct computer classes four times a week. The San Lorenzo Library offers something for everyone.
