Welcome to the West Valley Branch Library, which has served the large and culturally diverse community in West San José since 1964.  The current facility opened in 2003.  The library provides relevant educational resources and recreational opportunities serving the needs and interests of the local community, including many family-oriented services and a large language collection including materials in Spanish, Korean, Russian, Hindi, and many more.  Free WiFi and Internet access are available during library hours.  West Valley Branch is located next to the fire station on the corner of Saratoga Avenue and San Tomas Aquino Road. The new West Valley Branch, opened in May 2003, is a warm and inviting place where you can visit friends and neighbors at the Internet Café, read to your children, or relax by the fireplace in the community living room. This brand new branch dramatically improves library services while serving a diverse population of more than 50,000 people. New features include more materials, seating for 188 library users, a community room for 144 visitors, a technology center with more than 30 computers, a language center to serve a diverse population, story time space for children, and additional parking.

Branch Library Hours/ Open 7 Days a Week:  Monday 2-7 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday 11-8 PM, Thursday-Saturday 10-6 PM, Sunday 1-5 PM.
