About Us
The Robertson County Public Library is actually the "hub" of the community. We are open six-days per week and provide a great collection of books, periodicals, newspapers, audio/visual materials, standard library services, computer/Internet access, children's and adult programming throughout the year. The library has established a reputation as a leader in the community through its many services. Our objectives include training individuals to navigate the challenge of new information technologies, promote access to these technologies at the library, and motivate individuals to use technology to their advantage in education, employment, and their lives. Classes are offered to provide access to learning and information resources in the following areas: Digital Photography, Digital Video Cameras, Video Capture, Scanning, CD Burning and DVDs, Power Point Presentations, Microsoft Office Suite, Basic Computer Skills, Basic Computer Maintenance and Advanced Computer Classes. The library offers free, on-line live homework help program through the 21st Century Community Learning Center and Tutor.com. As technology evolves and its uses expand, our role as a library has been not only to provide access to all these innovative technologies, but also to train our community how to use them. Through these services we hope to help close the "digital divide" in Robertson County, resulting in better job opportunities and a more "technology literate" community.
