Mission:
The Board of Trustees for the Post Falls Public Library has composed the following Mission Statement to direct current efforts and channel future development for the library. It points to certain key roles that are to be fulfilled by the library—as defined after the Board sought and received input from the citizens of Post Falls. These roles are presented in order of their priority.
To serve as a popular materials library,
To serve as a children's learning center,
To serve as a resource for independent learners outside of the formal education system,
And to act in support of the formal education process.
The Post Falls Public Library will accomplish this mission by providing a balanced collection, and by using varied and variable formats for current and potential users. Realizing that the city of Post Falls is currently undergoing dynamic growth and change, the library will also explore new avenues of technology to serve as a source of community information.
