Plain Community Branch Library

1803 Schneider Street North East
330-494-3399

The Plain Township Board of Education approached the library in 2003 with a proposal to build a branch library that would serve both the public of the Plain Township and the students of GlenOak High School. Final agreements were signed in 2005, and this newest and largest branch location of the library, located in the Plain Community Building, shared with Plain Local’s GlenOak High School, opened in September 2006.

We, the Stark County District Library, comprised of the Board of Trustees, Director, management, staff and volunteers, will base our decisions and actions on our commitment to these core values:

Service Excellence - We take pride in providing balanced collections, extensive resources, and quality services.

Intellectual Freedom - We protect the privacy of our users while offering access to materials and services representing all points of view.

Respect for Each Individual - We recognize the dignity of each person and will preserve it in all circumstances.

Openness to Change - We thoughtfully explore new ideas and ways of doing things which support the Library as a dynamic organization.
