About Us
The Old Town Public Library subscribes to the American Library Association's Library Bill of Rights, the Freedom to Read and Freedom to View statements. This means that, just as with our book and media collections, we provide full unfiltered access to the Internet and its wide array of views and expressions, including those which some may find unorthodox, unpopular, or objectionable.
As citizens of a democracy, we cherish and defend these freedoms and have learned to exercise them wisely as we make daily choices about what we read and view. Parents will want to participate with their children in sharing that learning experience as they use these resources and all the materials available in our library
