North Shore Branch Library

7501 Collins Avenue
305-864-5392

The North Shore Branch Library is a split-level facility situated two blocks from the beautiful Miami Beach seashore. The 3,900 square-foot branch houses approximately 30,000 volumes, and includes audiobooks, large-print materials, musical cassettes and compact discs. The North Shore Library is a small branch building and boasts an impressive fiction and nonfiction collection. To keep pace with the latest technology, patrons have access to the Internet and other online databases. The general population consists of a diversified multicultural community, with a seasonal influx of French, Canadian and German tourists in late November through March.

In 1991, dedication services were held for the new addition of the programming room built for special events and programs. The Children’s Department was dedicated at that time as well. A Beautification Project, sponsored by the City of Miami Beach, has adorned the front of the library with graceful palms and colorful flowering plants. For those who want to avoid jangled nerves from fighting Beach traffic, buses G, H, K, S and T stop right in front of the library.
