North Hill Branch Library is accessible from State Route 8 at the E. Cuyahoga Falls Ave. exit, west to the Library or from downtown Akron via N. Main St., east on E. Cuyahoga Falls Ave.

The original North Hill Branch Library opened on December 3, 1927 in a storefront and moved into its present location October 26, 1958. The 4,800 square foot building cost $136,000 for lot, building and equipment. The building was in use until July of 2003 when the branch was closed and the collection put in storage for a year in order to tear down the building and replace it with a new, 12,000 square foot library on the same site. Our new building opened in July of 2004 and offers the community two meeting rooms, a significantly larger collection, and more computers for public use. Recently 22nd Annual North Hill Chamber of Commerce Property Beautification Award was presented to the North Hill Branch.

Current library statistics show that in 2004 North Hill Branch circulated 94,687 items and has a collection size of 50,582 items.

We are open 6 days a week to meet your needs for education, information and recreation.

Our friendly, skilled staff includes a branch and adult services librarian, two librarians serving children from babies through high school age, public service assistants, and student assistants.
