Mission Statement:
To contribute to the success of the citizens of our diverse community by offering a full range of library services that meet their informational, educational and leisure interests, fostering the love of reading in our youth and the lifelong pursuit of knowledge for all.
About Us:
The Morrow Branch library covers 10,000 square feet of space in a distinctive architectural style that is both inviting and handicapped accessible.
The branch offers general seating for over 100 people, shelf space for 60,000 books and a multi-use Meeting Room with kitchenette. The Meeting Room seats up to 50 people and is available for use by community and non-profit groups. Morrow Branch also features a spacious children’s area with story time corner.
It’s unique design won a regional award from the American Institute of Architects and has been published in several architectural journals.
As a finishing touch, the stucco exterior of the building is adorned with hand prints provided by students from Morrow Middle School and local day care centers.
When the library opened in 1991, it was dedicated to the memory of Carol Cobb Turner, a well-loved Clayton County library media consultant and teacher.
