Branch History
The West Fork Branch was known as the branch between two cornfields, when it was built on part of the farm belonging to Mrs. Rosie Beyer of Green Township. It served as a rural library for the northwestern part of the county. West Fork Branch opened on March 1, 1971, and has enjoyed many years of community growth. It was renamed the Monfort Heights Branch Library in January 2001 to better reflect the community it serves.
