Middleport Free Library
The Village of Middleport has enjoyed library services of one kind of another since the early 1800's; from floating canal-boat libraries to a sizable collection housed in a local church. But the Middleport Free Library was not officially chartered until 1929.
The library has been at its current location at 9 South Vernon Street since 1945, and that same year was dedicated as a living memorial to those who served in WWII.
Since then, the library has built an addition and renovated to better accommodate the community, and the Royalton-Hartland School District.
