Maple Valley Branch Library is accessible from Interstate 77 at the Copley Road exit; turn east on Copley Road.
The original Maple Valley Branch Library opened in the Maple Valley School Building on August 9, 1938. Its first new building was dedicated on January 12, 1958. On April 2, 2001 we opened at our new location at 1187 Copley Road, gaining additional space for materials, computers, meeting facilities, and display areas.
Current library statistics show that Maple Valley circulated 94,513 books, audio items, and periodicals in 2004. Our current collection is 49,948 items.
Our friendly, skilled staff includes a branch manager, who is also the adult services librarian; two children's librarians, one serving pre-school through lower elementary children and the other serving upper elementary children and teens; public service assistants; a shelver; and student assistants.
