This library has been the biggest disappointment. I have small keiki, and I feel they are completely unwelcome in this library, which (should be) first and foremost a place of learning. My son is hushed and shushed because he’s excited about a book. The poor building design makes even the smallest whisper echo through the whole place. I want to read to my keiki and with very limited activities already, the library is sadly no longer on our list. It breaks my heart when my son points to the building and says, “read books” then I tell him no, because he simply can’t be quiet enough while the majority of guests use the internet. I wish they would turn the useless dvd room into a room for small children, where they would be welcome to get excited about books and sit down and read. And don’t even get me started about the ridiculous chargers, like $1 fee if you don’t pick up a reserved book, charges for dvd rentals, and weird hours of operation. This library is an enormous disappointment.

This is a big library with lots of selection. There is a small kids reading area, and a courtyard in the middle of it all.
