History
The first Madison Branch Library opened March 14, 1977 and served the community for more than 20 years. The new Madison Library opened August 5th on the site of the old Taylor Stratton School on Gallatin Road. It was designed by Gobbell Hays Partners, Inc. and reflects the library's investment in children with its theme, "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe." This C.S. Lewis book emphasizes children's curiosity and joy of discovery
