History:

Locke Branch Library opened in December of 1917 and was built with funds from famous library philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. Locke was named for David Ross Locke, an editor of the Toledo Blade. In 1934, an addition was built increasing the size of the facility. A new branch library is in the planning stages for the community.
