Lawrence Library offers a wide variety of resources and services to people of the greater Pepperell area:

- A book collection of more than 45,000 volumes plus numerous downloadable e-books.

- The Library subscribes to 120 magazines and newspapers. In addition to this we are able to request articles from hundreds of other journals via Interlibrary Loan.

- Lawrence Library is a member of CW-MARS a non-profit library consortium in the central/western region of Massachusetts sharing automation resources with 140 public and academic libraries. The on-line catalog provides access to materials in Pepperell as well as other Massachusetts. Items may be requested, as well as renewed, online. You will be prompted for your library barcode and PIN.

- We offer on-line database searching for our patrons, both in the library and remotely, from the library’s web page which includes Galenet, Novelist, InfoTrac and many more.

- We have 8 computers for public use which provide patrons with access to the Internet and a variety of software, including: Open Source software, Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel and PowerPoint. Printing is available at 10¢ per page which prints out at the Circulation Desk.

- Wireless service is available throughout the library allowing you the freedom to bring your own laptop to use. Newly added is a wireless printer, also 10¢ a page.

- The library has a video and a growing DVD collection of more than 2,800 titles ranging from ‘how to’, educational and children’s to popular and classical.

- We have a growing and wide variety of over 2,800 audio books in both cassette, compact disc, MP3 Playaways and downloadable formats.

- The Library has a rapidly expanding and very diverse collection of music on more than 1,500 on compact discs and a growing collection of video games (Wii & Playstation).

- Great Reads is a free service provided by the library and BookLetters, which offers book reviews and information on hundreds of authors. It is a great way to stay up-to-date on all of the hottest current and upcoming titles as well as discover new books and authors!

- Our local history room houses special collection genealogy plus extensive materials on the state and local communities. It is staffed on Tuesday afternoons from 1- 4 pm or by appointment.

- The library is home to Sidney M. Shattuck's (1876-1917) personal collection of 110 local birds, all carefully mounted and labeled and on permanent display at the library in the Reading Room.

- Children’s programs are provided throughout the year, including regularly-scheduled Story Hours. Craft programs, science, education, movies, entertainment performances and summer reading programs are often offered during school vacations and holidays.

- Adult programs include reading groups, author appearances, informational and educational programs on a wide variety of subjects plus movies, concerts and more.

- Meeting space is available to community groups, boards and other non-profit organizations. Please call to make a room reservation.

- Self-Service coffee or tea may be enjoyed while browsing our newspapers or magazines in the Reading Room.

- The Friends of the Library schedule monthly art exhibits in the Art Gallery. A complete listing of scheduled exhibits is located on the library’s web page.

- Museum passes are provided by the Friends of Lawrence Library. Passes may be reserved by phone, on-line or in person. Choose from over 14 museums and enjoy free or reduced admissions. Limited to one pass per family per day.
