Mission:

The mission of the La Conner Regional Library is to promote the enjoyment of reading, to provide resources to meet the informational needs of the community and to support educational and cultural activities of local organizations.

Vision:

The La Conner Regional Library aspires to offer the citizens of La Conner and the surrounding Library District a safe, accessible, attractive place conducive to learning, research, enlightenment, creativity and enjoyment.

The Library will be a pathway for ongoing education, providing access to knowledge and information to enable citizens to improve their standard of living and contribute to the continuing growth and prosperity of the Library District.

The Library will aspire to achieve recognition among its residents and throughout the region for providing outstanding library services, delivery and technology.

The Library will achieve its vision and its goals with a philosophy embracing change and seeking superior service. It will seek opportunities for improved service through collaboration with the library systems of neighboring cities in Skagit County.

Goals and Objectives:

The general goals and objectives of the La Conner Regional Library are:

- To collect, maintain and organize resources for the purpose of contributing to the enjoyment and education of our community.
- To serve the community as a place where people feel welcome and are able to access reliable information.
- To support educational, recreational, civic and cultural activities of groups and organizations.
- To provide opportunity and encouragement for all members of the community to educate themselves continuously.
