Mission:

The mission of the Killingly Public Library is to help fulfill the educational and recreational needs of the community by providing free access to information and creative ideas through a variety of materials, services and programs.

History:

The Town of Killingly has supported a multi-service public library since the beginning of the twentieth century.  Currently the library is open for public use 40 hours a week, including four weekdays, three evenings, and Saturdays.  In addition to more traditional library services, such as lending collections of books, magazines, music cds, audio books and video products, there are multiple public access computers for Internet use, Word Processing, and Online Learning.

Patrons may access the library’s holdings from their home computers, place requests for books, download audio books and eBooks, and access their individual accounts. In addition, The Connecticut State Library’s data base “ICONN “ offers twenty-four hour access to several databases.  All you need is a valid library card from your home town library.
