Mission:

The mission of the Johnstown Public Library is to meet the community's educational and recreational informational needs, with excellent customer service, in a welcoming environment.

About Us:

Johnstown Public Library will help you find your favorite book, DVD, magazine, electronic databases for research, and genealogy materials. If not available here, we can request a title for you through our Interlibrary Loan System that includes more than 65 public libraries in the Mohawk Valley/Southern Adirondack Library System, 50+ academic libraries and libraries in 2 other public systems. Included in the cooperative sharing of material is the New York State Library. New additions to our collection include Downloadable Audios and Playaways; both of which help the very active reader. We offer monthly book discussions, storytime for families, genealogy research and both adult and child related programming throughout the year. We also have public meeting rooms available.
