About Us:
The original 25,000 square foot Jimmie B. Keel Regional Library, a gift from the Winn-Dixie Foundation, opened February 14, 2001 and serves the Carrollwood and Northdale communities and is the regional library for the Northwest area of Hillsborough County. Construction of the 10,000 square foot expansion to the Jimmie B. Keel Regional Library began in December 2012 and was completed in February 2014.
This new expansion features:
 - A glass-enclosed children's room which includes a story telling room
 - A second community room that is more than double the size of the original
 - Collaborative spaces and technologies
 - A vending café
 - A larger Carousel Book Store
Open seven days a week, the library provides a comprehensive collection and a wide variety of programs and services. It also features four smaller meeting rooms for programs, meetings, quiet study and literacy tutoring. A drive-thru window provides convenient checkout and return of library materials. Additionally, the library has added new computer furniture and study tables to further facilitate collaborative work.
