Library History:

Highland Square Branch Library opened in 1930 in a house near Highland Square and moved to its present location in March 1956, where it continues to be an important member of the community.

The 4,312 square foot building cost $108,850 at the time it was built, including furniture and equipment.

Current library statistics show that Highland Square Branch has 11,644 registered borrowers, current collection size of 75,667 and in 2009 circulated 234,771 items.

We are open 6 days a week to meet your needs for education, information and recreation.

Our friendly, skilled staff includes a branch manager who is also the children's librarian, a teen librarian, an adult services librarian, public service assistants, a shelver, and student assistants.
