About Us :
Hermiston Public Library is located on Gladys Avenue in Hermiston, Oregon. Hermiston is a multicultural community in Northeastern Oregon. The library provides access to information, educational and recreational resources through programs, services, videos, microform, periodicals, newspaper and an ever expanding book collection.
Hermiston Public Library is a member of the Sage Library System. Over 70 libraries display their holdings on the shared Innovative Interfaces system. Over one million books and materials are available through this system. Hermiston Public Library houses 34,000 books, nearly 700 large print books, 100 microfilms, 600 books on tape, over 900 videos and 4,317 periodicals.
A small Spanish-language library is maintained within Hermiston Public Library. Over 200 Spanish language books are available for checkout. In addition there are some Spanish-language videos.
Additional services provided by the library include access to a photocopy machine and a microform reader/printer. Computers are available for Internet access and word processing. An overhead projector, slide projector, Super 8 Movie projector, and one portable screen are available for three day checkout.
