The planning of Hebron Library began in 1956 by the Hebron Community Foundation who worked toward purchasing property to house the library. After years of fundraising and planning, the Hebron Community Foundation received a substantial donation in 1963 from the Park National Bank. The bank had just completed building a new branch and generously donated their old building to the Community Foundation to be used as a library.
The current, larger library was built as a part of the Hebron Community Complex in 2001 which also serves as the home of Hebron Village Administration, Police Offices, Council Chambers and Mayor's Court.
