Hancock Town Library

The Hancock Town Library is dedicated to serving the educational, informational, cultural and recreational needs of all the residents of Hancock. The Library will meet these objectives by working closely with other Hancock organizations such as the town government, schools, churches, civic and recreational groups. The Hancock Town Library believes that the purpose of a library is to help people of all ages continue their education, add to their broadened knowledge and understanding of the world and its literature, its arts, its sciences, its religions, its peoples and their histories.

The Library should play an active role in promoting and encouraging people to enlarge their knowledge and vision of the world so that they may achieve richer, fuller, and economically useful lives and make maximum contributions to themselves as individuals and to their town, state and country.
