The mission of the Greene Public library is now, as it has always been to provide general library services and community-center type activities to those who live in the area of Greene.
However, these services and facilities have always been available to all people without discrimination or residency requirement.
The goal is to be a valuable supplemental asset to the community in the areas of education, information, personal enrichment and recreation, with the focus on the popular. Since the Library is privately-funded, the needs and desires of its clientele are continually being balanced against the finances available
