About Us:
Gila Bend Branch Library is a welcome oasis in the Arizona desert of southwestern Maricopa County. Gila (pronounced heela) Bend, an agricultural community and expanding tourist stop connecting Phoenix and Tuscon with the Pacific Coast, was originally established on an overland stage route in 1858. The branch's bilingual collection features bestsellers, videos, children's books of all types and Internet accessible public computers. The branch regularly offers bilingual programming.
The Gila Bend Library, newly renovated in 2012, is a 2,600 square foot facility. It features seven public computers, an Early Literacy Station computer, an extensive media collection and a wide variety of bestselling fiction and nonfiction materials.
