The beautiful Giddings Public Library and Cultural Center is open for business. The facility is over 18,000 square feet and is equipped to accomodate the needs of the entire community.
The Center is the home for one of the largest Native American collections in the State of Texas. Mr. Arnold Smith has graciously donated this collection to the city for the library to display on a permanent basis.
Among the other advantages include a meeting room with a full size kitchen that accomodates up to 100 people. Also, a genealogy room, that can be used for meetings and a large children's area equipped with a stage for performances.
If you need to study for a test or search the internet. The library houses 4 testing stations and a computer lab with 16 internet ready stations for your convenience.And, lets not forget about the books. The library now holds 25 thousand volumes of books in a large variety of topics and subject matter, that is sure to please the needs of everyone who comes to visit the Center.
