About Us:
In 1985 a "Dream Came True" for Genesee when the first public library opened. First Citizens National Bank donated it's old bank building in Genesee to Genesee Township to be use as a public library.
Genesee Township Supervisors appointed Arleta Butler, Dee Smith, Gary King, Myra Crippen, Linda Chamberlain, Nancy Reiman and Teresa Palmatier to serve as members of the library board. With the help of County Librarian Laurie Shear and the Potter-Tioga Library system the library held it's first open house on June 29, 1985 as part of Genesee Old Home Day.
