The Library was established as a tax-supported municipal library for the City of Bloomer in 1916. Originally, the building was placed in the Bloomer High School. The current building was built in 1987 on land donated by the Bleskacek Family Trust.
The mission of the Bloomer Public/G.E. Bleskacek Family Memorial Library is to provide materials and services which fulfill educational, informational, cultural and recreational needs of the entire community in an atmosphere that is welcoming, safe, respectful and businesslike.
