ABOUT US
Friends of the Youngsville Library group, a nonprofit organization, works to:
-Promote development of excellent library services in our community.
-Foster closer relations between our library and the citizens of our community.
-Promote knowledge of the library’s functions, resources, services and needs.
-Provide the means for members to exchange ideas, information and experience.
WHAT DO FRIENDS DO?
Friends sponsor book sales, promote reading through fun contests for all ages of our library community, and organize a fantastic annual Easter Egg Hunt that enjoys great community reviews! Scheduled for the Saturday one week before Easter, this free event is held at the Library, complete with a visit from the Easter Bunny.
In the past, Friends sponsored Evenings at the Library, a Book Club, Knitting Classes, chances to win Gift Baskets, Harry Potter release events, Meet the Animals, and Chess Tournaments. Friends of the Youngsville Library also participates in the Youngsville Fall Festival by offering a book sale to the public. These activities have increased both= the number of new patrons and book circulation.
WHEN ARE MEETINGS HELD?
Meetings are scheduled quarterly at 7:00 p.m. in the Activities Room of the Youngsville Library. Please ask the librarian when the next meeting is.
MISSION
Help support our goal to raise awareness of what our library has to offer through the creation and sponsorship of interesting programs and generate funds to purchase special gifts or services that benefit our patrons.
