We are a volunteer organization based in Hilo, the largest town on the Big Island, officially known as the island of Hawaii, which is the largest island in the state of Hawaii.  This website is maintained by the Friends as a service to the patrons of the Hilo Public Library.

Love this library! Beautiful open aired courtyard, plenty computers, separate map/microfilm room & incredible staff.

I'm giving this three stars only because the hours are awful. Closed Sunday and MONDAY?? Opens at 11?? Crazy. Otherwise 5 stars.
