Friends of the Fayetteville Public Library

401 West Mountain Street
479-856-7000

The Friends of FPL was founded in 1982 to support and assist the library. From fund-raisers to help with library projects, Friends give their time and resources voluntarily and enthusiastically.

The Friends encourage communication among people interested in libraries and books. They encourage gifts to the library, operate Friends bookstore, and raise fund for the "extras" not covered by public money, such as:

Special programming for adults, teens and children

Expanded collections and electronic resources

Facility improvements

The Friends focus public attention on the library and what it offers to the community. They stimulate use of the library's resources and services. And finally, the Friends perform volunteer work for the library, both as individuals and as members of Friends
