73 Locust Street

The Dover Public Library has been extremely fortunate to have a very  supportive Friends of the Library group for over 35 years. Since 1977, the organization, 501(c)(3) registered, has  sponsored hundreds of educational and cultural programs for all ages, provided funding for equipment, furnishings, prizes and awards, museum passes, technology improvements, and many service enhancements  not included in the library’s municipal budget appropriation.  The Friends donate nearly $15,000 annually to boost library programs.  While some monies are raised through membership dues and merchandise sales, the bulk of the Friends’ revenues derive from their hugely successful booksales. The Friends of the DPL are a fiscally sound and solvent organization.
