The Friends of the Copper Queen Library is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 organization that supports the Library by purchasing books and sponsoring activities and events that increase community use and appreciation of this valuable resource.

Every year, the Friends hold book sales, sponsor special programs, and work together with Bisbee's outstanding bakers to cook up the extremely popular Valentine's Day Chocolate Tasting -- now in its 15th year.

All activities raise funds for Library programs, collections, facilities, and services.

If you'd like to help promote the widest cultural use of the Copper Queen Library and support the development of this wonderful community resources, please join us today!

Just come on in to the Library and ask for a membership form (or download one here and email it back or drop it off at the Friends' Bookstore or the Library Circulation Desk).

Individual memberships begin at only $10! Depending on your donation level, you'll receive a Friends newsletter, a Copper Queen Library mug or book bag, and your name displayed on a plaque in the Library. Of course, all support is tax-deductible.

Volunteer Opportunities

Whether you join the Friends or simply wish to help out at the Library, there are a number of opportunities for volunteers.

The Library needs people to assist with shelving, filing, and other organizational tasks and to help with children's programs and other activities. The Friends Bookstore can always use volunteers to sort and price donated books -- or to work a shift or two!

Stop by or call the library at 432-4232 to find out how you can become a part of the Copper Queen Library.
